Peregrine has been a blessing for our family. We moved our mom into Peregrine Senior Living on Onondaga Hill when mom was 100 years old and diagnosed with dementia. We realized she was not safe to be left alone and searched for the right place for her to live. Mom is now 102 years old and has lived at Peregrine for almost two years. The staff and administration are welcoming, caring, and competent; they truly love our mom. She is so well cared for in every way. The staff always goes above and beyond to make sure mom feels safe and comfortable. The activities available for residents are engaging and delightful, from music presentations to bingo, games, bowling, crafts baking, and weekly Friday happy hours. Special occasions, holidays and birthdays are celebrated for mom and all the residents. Mom has resident friends who she eats meals with, and the food is appealing and and delicious. Mom receives her medications appropriately, and is checked on often. Her room is clean and lovely, with a large bathroom that is easily accessible to mom with her walker. The staff help her with showers, toileting, and activities of daily living. I highly recommend Peregrine for your loved one who is diagnosed with memory loss and dementia.

Today we celebrate the caregivers—those whose quiet strength and unwavering compassion bring comfort to so many.
We see the difference caregivers make every day: holding a hand, sharing a smile, or offering reassurance when it’s needed most. 💕
Your dedication reminds us that true care goes beyond tasks—it’s an act of love, patience, and humanity.

Today's visit from a group of high school students was particularly noteworthy, as they brought beautiful roses and handmade cards for every resident in our building, showcasing exceptional kindness. Witnessing the residents' reactions to these thoughtful gestures was deeply moving, bringing tears to my eyes on several occasions. This experience underscores the idea that life frequently provides more than we expect. The students' visit brought smiles to the residents' faces, highlighting the genuine joy and love they shared. We are indeed fortunate to have experienced such compassion. We extend our thanks to the Syracuse Academy of Science students and Amy A. Ay. ... See MoreSee Less
